What is a Board Room?

The boardroom is used for the most important meetings in an organization. The board room can accommodate up to 48 people (24 at the table, and 24 along the walls around the perimeter). This space is a reflection of K-State Olathe’s commitment to meet demands of the business community in executive meeting space, research and training. It is a more formal setting with a sophisticated decor and has basic audiovisual equipment.

The word “board” conjures images of deep wood paneled high-ceiling rooms in which wealthy men deliberate on corporate policy and pricing to dominate a market or an opportunity. Today, however, the boardroom has evolved into an important hub for innovation, allowing for more collaboration and participation from all over the world to make critical decisions that could affect an entire company.

So, the room’s design should be able to adapt to its usage. The room should also be equipped with the most recent technology to ensure meetings are as productive as is possible. The environment of the boardroom must be warm and inviting in order to encourage engagement and encourage exchange of ideas.

A boardroom needs to be equipped with the proper size screen to accommodate all guests. It should also be equipped with projection equipment to show whiteboards and presentations to facilitate discussions. Modern boardrooms may also have the video conference software that allows remote attendees to connect and allows for a greater variety of people on the board. Infassure equips modern boardrooms to ensure your next meeting is successful.
